ACTION Heart is hoping people will flock to its new shop in Pensnett.

The charity shop in High Street, was officially opened by the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Margaret Aston on yesterday (Tuesday April 21).

It will replace the charity's existing shop opposite Russells Hall Hospital, which opened in 2012.

Joy Brown, the charity's fundraising executive, said: "We hope that the Action Heart charity shop will continue to thrive and raise funds for the Action Heart Cardiac Rehabilitation Service provided to patients in Dudley and the surrounding areas."

She wished to thank members of the public for their support over the past two and a half years and said she looked forward to welcoming them to the new site.

Anyone who wants to find out more about volunteering at the shop should call 01384 292233.
