BRIDES-to-be are invited to a free event at Dudley’s Priory Hall to help them to plan their big day.

The bridal shower takes place on Thursday (July 23) from 5-7pm and is the third in a series of events at the borough’s register office running throughout the summer and autumn.

There will be displays by photographers and stalls featuring jewellery, make-up, cakes and other services.

The events are aimed at future brides and their mums, sisters, bridesmaids and friends with visitors being given a free glass of Bucks Fizz on arrival.

Registrars will also be on hand to answer any questions, book ceremonies, discuss ceremony options and take payments.

A range of pre-loved bridal gowns will also be on display to purchase, many of which have never been worn.

Councillor Judy Foster, cabinet member for corporate and customer services, said: “Our register office staff have a vast range of experience to help people plan important life events such as marriage and these bridal showers are proving to be very popular with local brides-to-be.”

Future bridal shower dates are: September 3 and October 1 all between 5-7pm.
