SUPPORTERS of Lye's Midlands Air Ambulance Charity can get up close to staff at an open day scheduled for this Saturday (September 5) at Strensham Airbase in Gloucestershire.
Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of activities at the airbase from 10am until 4pm.
Children can meet Maac, the mascot, and watch displays provided by historic emergency vehicles, police and military helicopters, while star attraction will be the EC 135 helicopter.
Fundraising and marketing director Jason Levy said: "The event is free and represents a fantastic opportunity for members of the public to meet the Midlands Air Ambulance aircrew and see first hand the amazing service their donations help to fund.
"It costs £2,500 per mission and with no government or national lottery funding, events like this one make our life saving services possible."
The airbase is situated at Strensham Services located on the northbound M5 at junction 8.
