IT'S beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Dudley now the town's festive lights have been switched on.
Hundreds of people descended on High Street to see Danny and the Human Zoo star Kascion Franklin light up the town alongside the Mayor of Dudley Councillor Steve Waltho and Father Christmas this evening.
Kascion, who played a young Lenny Henry in the BBC One show said working alongside Dudley's favourite funnyman had completely blown his mind.
He also treated a delighted audience to an impromptu impression of Tommy Cooper before joining in with a sing-a-long to Happy Xmas (War Is Over).
The switch on saw the whole town lit up as the brand new lighting system - which was installed as part of the multi-million pound market place redevelopment - was debuted.
The event got the seal of approval from excited youngsters, who enjoyed jumping around in the fake snow but there were some frowning faces at the end of the evening.
Despite Dudley Council promising free parking on its car parks after 4pm, several motorists returned to their vehicles to find they had received a parking ticket.
What did you make of tonight's Christmas light switch on?
