A DUDLEY family are desperately trying to find their missing rescue dog Billy.

Lisa and Craig Perry were devastated to find that Billy the blue whippet escaped through the back door of their Bluebell Road home just after 3pm on Thursday (November 12).

The two-year-old was previously abused and is very timid as a result.

He has numerous scars on his body, has a piece missing from his left ear and has lost the majority of hair on his slim body due to stress and mistreatment.

The couple, who have two children, had saved Billy after spotting him on a ‘free to good home’ website just five days before he ran off.

Lisa said: “Billy has been through so much in his short life. We just want this little boy back home with us so he can start enjoying a loving life and spend the rest of his time in his first happy, caring home.

“Please help us find him so he can experience love for the first time.”

There have been a couple of sightings of Billy near to Dudley College, but nothing concrete.

The family working closely with Dog T.A.G, a Midlands based non-profit dog theft awareness group, which is helping to find Billy by flooding social media with Billy’s details.

A host of famous names have helped to spread the message on Twitter, including Michelin chef Sat Bains, TV chef and bestselling author Gizzi Erskine and The Malone family and Sandra and Sandi from TV’s Gogglebox.

There is a reward being offered for any information leading to his safe return.
