STOURBRIDGE students got the chance to watch MPs quiz David Cameron when they visited the Houses of Parliament.
Dudley North MP Ian Austin arranged for youngsters from King Edward VI College to see the Prime Minister’s Questions yesterday (Wednesday), and took the opportunity to grill them about their views.
Mr Austin said: “I want young people in Dudley to know that what they think matters and that I will listen and speak up for them.
“Education and skills has to be our number one priority in Dudley, and events like this help set high standards.
“I want to make this a regular event so local students can be inspired and set high ambitions for themselves.”
Matt Cole, the politics teacher who organised the trip, said: "As always Ian gave our students his time and insight generously and frankly, and passed on his passion for politics and for Dudley.
“Ian's support made this the best visit to Parliament we have had in many years."
Any local groups or schools that are interested in visiting Westminster should contact Mr Austin’s office on 020 7219 8012.
