TICKETS for afternoon tea at Himley Hall are selling like hot cakes.

Since it was launched last year, the afternoon teas, which give people the chance to follow in the footsteps of royals at the famous Himley Hall and Park, have proved extremely popular.

Visitors can enjoy the classic combination of ribbon sandwiches, scones with fruit conserve and cream, sweet pastries and tea in one of the grand rooms, before enjoying a stroll through the grounds designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.

There are limited places available on Wednesday (May 26) and June 1 and to satisfy demand, an extra date of June 29 has just been added.

Alan Lunt, strategic director for place said: “Our indulgent afternoon tea has proved extremely popular, with extra dates being put on over the summer.

“What a great way to treat someone special, enjoying a relaxing afternoon in one of the most stunning settings for miles.”

Afternoon tea costs from £19.95 per person.

Booking is essential by calling 01384 817817.
