THE heartbroken wife and children of a Dudley biker tragically killed in a Bewdley crash have paid an emotional tribute to the “loving and devoted” family man.

Allan Wright, aged 63, was killed in the single vehicle crash on the A456 Bewdley bypass, outside Wharton Park Golf Club, in Long Bank, at around 11.30am on Thursday (June 9).

In a statement, his wife Helen, children Ashley and Abbie and grand-daughter La’shae described him as a loving husband, dad and grandad.

They said: “Allan was a home lover and family man who had a passion for life. He adored and was devoted to his wife Helen, his children Abbie and Ashley, also his granddaughter La'shae.

“He had also welcomed with open arms into the family, his future son-in-law Matt and future daughter-in-law Bekki.

“Every opportunity he had, he would be out with his wife on their motorbikes, putting plenty miles on the clock.

“When he was at home he would always be found messing in his shed. He was recently talking about going on another family holiday and making it extra special for his granddaughter. None of us at the moment can see a future without him.”

Son Ashley said: "Not only have I lost my best mate, my riding partner, the best teacher in the world but most of all I've lost the best dad anybody could ask for.

“I always knew this day would come sooner for me with my dad not being the youngest but I was never ready for it to be this soon.

“So until we meet again, goodnight dad, and I know if you was here you would say "goodnight young'en" back. I love you."

Abbie added: "My dad was a funny and caring man and I hope he knew just how much we all love him.

“He worked extremely hard to provide for and take care of his family. This has come as a massive shock to us all and he has taken a big piece of each and every one of us with him.

“I miss you so much Dad. Sleep tight and keep riding with the angels. I love you."

Wife Helen said: “There is this void that cannot be filled, I have lost the love of my life, a wonderful husband and friend.

“I thank you for the amazing life you have given me and our kids. I'm lost, my precious man. We had a fantastic life together, I love you eternally and you will never be forgotten.

She added: “Matt and Bekki wish to thank you for all you have done for them. They will miss you so very much and hope you are happy wherever you are.”

They also issued a message from his young grand-daughter which read: “RIP Grandad. I will not be lucky enough to have you in my life, but I know you loved me so much and you will always be remembered. Sleep tight, the world's best!”
