PLANS to build 20 new homes on an old garage site at the back of homes in Ketley Hill Road, Dudley, have been approved.

Members of Dudley’s development control committee gave the green light for the development, which is to comprise eight contemporary-style bungalows and 12 houses.

Councillor Jackie Cowell, committee chairman, said: “It does appear to fit in quite nicely with the locality. This is a very good application. I’m quite pleased to see it come forward.”

One letter of objection was submitted highlighting concerns the development would overlook an existing property but a report to the committee, which met on July 19, said the development was considered “acceptable”.
