A STAR Wars themed lego exhibition is now on display at Dudley Museum and Art Gallery.

The exhibition, ‘May the Force Be With You’ runs until September 10 and follows on from the success of last year’s My Little Collection exhibition which featured thousands of My Little Pony toys and memorabilia.

It features a series of themed displays including an Ewok village, space station, desert and ice plateau staged with figures and vehicles.

Fans of the films can see Lego versions of gunships including the Imperial Star Destroyer and Millenium Falcon.

Other pieces include a Sandcrawler, AT-AT Walkers and Jabba the Hut’s Palace.

Individual Lego figures include Jabba the Hut, Bobba Fett, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan-Kenobe, C3-PO and R2-D2 plus a range of Storm Troopers, Droids and Ewoks Models made of Lego include a Lego Yoda, a life size Darth Maul head and a range of vehicles, including the Death Star.

There is also a display of a range of light sabres and official lego posters.

Councillor Khurshid Ahmed, cabinet member responsible for tourism, said: “This is a fun exhibition which will entertain youngsters and their parents who will remember the original films released during their own youth.

“The staging of each setting shows the pieces off to their best advantage and I’m sure visitors will have fun identifying the Lego versions of their favourite characters.”

The museum, on St James’s Road, is open from 10am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
