DUDLEY’S mental health trust is inviting the public to find out more about schizophrenia, as well as reviewing their performance over the past year its annual general meeting.

Taking place on Friday (September 16), Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust’s forum will be held at Brierley Hill Civic Hall from 10am until 2.30pm.

Often a misunderstood condition, the Mental Health Forum will look at the signs and symptoms of schizophrenia along with the psychological aspects behind the condition.

Attendees will also hear from those who have first-hand experience of the condition and its challenges.

Mark Axcell, the trust’s chief executive, said: “It’s an exciting time for our trust with many developments in the local health economy.

“Our AGM is a chance for us to share our work over the last twelve months and look forward to our plans for the future.

“Everyone is invited to come along to find out more about our trust and put their questions to the board.”

The AGM will give people the opportunity to hear about the trust’s achievements during the past 12 months and plans for the future, as well as finding out more about the services provided.

There will also be an opportunity for those present to ask any questions.
