HISTORIC boats, steam engines, classic cars, and the great Dudley duck race will entertain crowds at a popular canal festival.
The biennial Parkhead Canal Festival, organised by Dudley Canal Trust and the Worcester/Birmingham and Droitwich Canal Society will take place on September 24 and 25.
There will be 90 boats for people to see during the free two-day festival and on the ground there will be around 40 classic and vintage vehicles, steam engines and a fairground organ.
Boat trips will be running throughout the event and the duck race will take place at 3pm on Sunday.
Refreshments will also be available and a beer tent will have a variety of real ale from Ma Pardo’s on tap.
The event will run between 10am and 5pm and motorists can use a free car park in Holly Hall Road.
