A NEW project will bring like-minded Dudley folk together over a bowl of soup.

Dudley Soup is made up of nine volunteers who want to provide a platform for people bursting with ideas to improve the borough.

Those who attend the first event on Thursday, September 29 at the DY1 Centre in Stafford Street, Dudley, will hear four pitches from people who believe they can make the borough a better place.

The audience, who will be asked to make a small donation on arrival at 7pm, will be able to ask four questions after listening to the four-minute pitches.

They will then get to tuck into a bowl of soup, while discussing what they have heard before voting for the project they believe will have the most positive impact in the area.

Once all audience members have cast their vote, the winner will receive the cash donated at the beginning of the evening to help get their project off the ground or take it to the next level.

Anyone who wishes to be part of the Dudley Soup audience can order a ticket from the website, www.dudleysoup.com.
