A MAN was airlifted to hospital after he was stabbed in Lower Gornal on Saturday (October 8).
Police were called to Shadwell Drive at 5.35pm following a report that someone had been assaulted.
A 22-year-old man was treated by paramedics for a head injury and a stab wound to the chest before being taken by air ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
His condition is described as stable.
Three teenage boys, all aged 15, were arrested on suspicion of assault but were later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
