AN animal lover is preparing to conquer her fear of heights to raise funds for her favourite charity.

Not one to do things by halves, Tiffany Parkes has decided to show her support for Raven's Rescue by jumping out of a plane.

The tattooist, who lives in Dudley, said she was inspired to take the plunge after watching comedian Romesh Ranganathan skydive on his BBC show, Asian Provocateur.

Tiffany continued: "He is really scared of heights but he did it when no-one thought he would and he loved it. I've wanted to do something for charity for a while but I thought it would have to be something out of the ordinary. I'm terrified of heights so I thought if I did something that people knew was a big thing for me then they would sponsor me a bit more.

"I feel a bit sick when I think about it but so many people have told me it's an amazing experience, I'm sure it will be good."

The 23-year-old hopes her efforts will raise at least £500 for the Dudley based charity, which provides sanctuary for unwanted, abused and abandoned cats and dogs before finding them a new, loving home.

"I follow Raven's Rescue on Facebook," Tiffany said. "They do such a good job, I just love what they do."

Sarah Harris, founder of Raven's Rescue, said: "I'm extremely proud of what Tiff is doing for us, especially when she has a fear of heights.

"As a charity, our vet bills are ever growing and all the money she raises will be used to help us continue with our work. We hope that people support her in this event."
