A NEW partnership has been announced which will see a borough hospice benefit from various events at Brierley Hill Civic Hall.

As part of the initiative, Mary Stevens Hospice will be offered a presence within the civic hall on the night of shows and events, and a percentage of ticket sales will be donated directly to help patient care.

Hospice supporters and members of the local community will also be able to purchase tickets to selected shows through the Stourbridge-based hospice, rather than having to book show tickets via the civic hall’s box office.

Amanda Bowen, community engagement officer at Mary Stevens Hospice, said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to become more involved with a real institution of the local area, and a lot of their shows and events are exactly the sort of thing we know our supporters would enjoy, so it was a bit of a no-brainer.

“Their commitment to supporting our families is heart-warming, and we’re proud to be associated with them.”

James Challis, business development manager at the civic hall, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be able to support the hospice through the civic.

“They provide the most amazing support to local families, and we are keen to contribute to that care in any way we can.

“We’ve got an incredibly exciting calendar of shows and events, and we’re excited to be able to share that with our local community while supporting such a great local charity.”
