ASDA has announced its plans to takeover a popular Sedgley supermarket.
The supermarket giant intends to buy the Co-op store on High Holborn, with a view to open later this year.
A spokesman for the Midcounties Co-operative said after "extensive discussions", an agreement had been reached to allow current staff to keep their jobs following the acquisition - with the exception of the travel team, who will relocate to Dudley Street before the end of March.
An Asda spokesman added: “We’re pleased to be welcoming existing Co-op colleagues into the Asda family and are looking forward to serving the local community when the new store opens its doors.”
