THE Black Country Living Museum has revealed it welcomed 308,457 visitors through its doors in 2016.
Bosses say the introduction of themed events - including the Peaky Blinder Nights and 1940s weekend - have helped the museum grow its visitor numbers by 5.4 per cent over the last 12 months.
Chief executive, Andrew Lovett, said: “This is really positive news for museum, especially in a time when not all museums are seeing more visitors coming through their doors.
“We want to achieve 500,000 visitors per year within the next 10 years so it’s great to see our visitor numbers moving in the right direction.”
