MOTORISTS have been warned that a temporary 10mph speed limit will be in place on a busy borough road.

The speed restriction will be in place on both carriageways of Birmingham New Road, between Pickrell Road and Shaw Road, from March 27 until April 7.

Drivers will have to slow down between 8.30am and 4pm each day to enable carriageway resurfacing work to be carried out.

The work is being undertaken as part of the ongoing junction improvement work being carried out by Wolverhampton City Council.

The restriction will not be in place on both carriageways at the same time, work on the northbound carriageway will be undertaken first, followed by work on the southbound carriageway.
