A CRACKING programme of Easter fun awaits visitors to the Black Country Living Museum.

People will be able to experience Easter through the eyes of a Victorian between April 8 and 23 and get hands on with traditional street games, crafts and trails.

Families will be able to jump on a vintage bus down into the canal side village and discover the traditional tastes of the past.

The bakery’s resident baker will demonstrate how to rustle up popular Victorian Easter treats, made in a coal-fired oven, and visitors will be able to pop into T Cook’s sweet shop or Veal’s bakery to pick up a varitety of tasty treats and freshly baked hot cross buns.

An epic Easter egg trail will also take place across the museum’s 26 acre site, with clues to be found in both shops and houses.

Costumed characters will be hosting traditional ‘egg rolling’ competitions along the cobbled streets - with a sweet surprise for the winner - and a selection of crafts await the more creative visitor, including egg painting and paper craft.
