A DUDLEY businessman is gearing up to pull in the pounds for charity once again by taking part in the Dudley Trail.

Mohammed Sagir, who runs Direct Link Communications in Wolverhampton Street, completed the six-mile route in last year’s trail and this year he’s set to take on the nine-mile course.

Mr Sagir, chairman of the Voice of Dudley Business, will be among hundreds of walkers taking part in the popular trail this Sunday (April 30) which starts and finishes at Dudley Leisure Centre and which will take participants around some of the borough’s hidden gems.

Last time he managed to raise £250 in sponsorship for Birmingham Children’s Hospital – and this time he’s raising cash for Macmillan Cancer Support.

So far he’s received pledges of £180 but anyone wishing to boost his fundraising total can sponsor him by calling into his shop in Wolverhampton Street, Dudley. Or he can be contacted on 01384 235222 or 07764 515111.
