GUIDED walks will allow people to take in the stunning landscape and architecture of Himley Hall and Park this spring and summer.

The free walks have been organised by Dudley Council to give people the chance to learn about the park’s fascinating history while taking in its natural beauty.

Starting at 10am on Sunday, May 27, and Sunday August 6, both walks will see a guide uncover the hall’s intriguing architectural features and participants will be able to learn about the varied wildlife now inhabiting the park.

There will also be a guided walk exploring the Himley Estate’s proud history at 10.30am on Saturday, June 17, where people will also have the opportunity to visit the Earl of Dudley’s Memory Garden.

Alan Lunt, strategic director for place at Dudley Council, said: “Himley Hall and Park is a beautiful place to visit and these guided walks will give people an opportunity to learn about its history and the fantastic work that goes on there today.”

Each walk is expected to take around two hours and people are asked to meet by the notice board on the main car park ten minutes prior to start time.

Places on the tours, which involve uneven ground meaning suitable footwear is required, need to be booked by calling 01384 817817.
