AN elderly woman suffered a panic attack after two men broke into her Dudley home while she was sleeping.

The 89-year-old woman was disturbed by the burglars after they forced the back door of her home in Russells Hall Road at around 12.40pm on Wednesday, August 2.

The intruders told the victim they were police officers and began searching her bedroom drawers but when she challenged the duo, they fled empty-handed.

Although she wasn’t physically injured, the woman suffered a panic attack and remains very shaken by what happened.

Witnesses have indicated that three white men made off from the premises in a grey Audi A3 with partial registration B17 NW.

One offender has been described as 6ft tall, aged in his late 20s and chubby. He was wearing a light blue baseball cap, navy bomber jacket, navy jogging bottoms and black gloves with white on the knuckles.

A second man is described as 5ft 8ins tall and slim. He had a pencil thin beard and was wearing a black waterproof jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

There is a limited description for the third, but it is understood he was around 6ft tall, chubby and wearing dark clothing.

Police enquiries are on-going to trace the men who did this and are appealing for anyone who has information to come forward by calling Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 quoting crime number: 20DY/163785Y/17.
