YOUNG dancers from Halesowen and Dudley will represent the 'Rest of England' at a national dancing competition at the legendary Blackpool Winter Gardens next month.

Current under-10 champions Mollie Finlow and Krystina Soden-Barton will take to the floor in the under 12 category, while Denim Hadley and Jamie-Leigh Atwell will battle it out in the under 16s group.

The two couples, who train at Black Country dance school 'Dancefusion', will be competing against finalists from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the north of England at the spiritual home of British ballroom.

The British Ballroom, Latin and Sequence Championships takes place during the seven-day Blackpool Junior Dance Festival from Easter Monday (April 2) until Sunday, April 8.

The festival, which was established in 1947, will see 29 competitions, four team matches and three formation competitions take place, involving hundreds of budding dancers.
