A SEDGLEY singer hit all the right notes when he recorded a charity single with a MOBO award-winning artist.

Bradley Turner is one of seven vocalists with autism who have joined forces with J-Rock from Big Brovaz to release a new rendition of the noughties band's 2003 hit Baby Boy.

The famous father-of-five, also known as John Paul Horsley, was put in touch with Anna Kennedy OBE - founder of autism charity Anna Kennedy Online - when one of his sons was diagnosed with autism.

He soon became a patron of the charity, which puts on an annual Autism’s Got Talent show to allow people on the spectrum to showcase their talents.

On the back of the shows, the charity launched its first album last year, featuring seven singer/songwriters performing as Building Bridges.

Anna asked J-Rock if he'd be up for recording one of his songs with the group to help raise awareness for the charity and show the world what people with autism could do and he was quick to agree.

Recording Baby Boy was an "amazing" experience, according to 20-year-old Bradley (pictured below with J-Rock).

Dudley News:

He said: "I had heard of Big Brovaz before, when I was really young and I saw them perform on the soundtrack for the film Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, which I absolutely loved as a kid.

"After that I listened to more of their music, so I’d heard Baby Boy before. It’s a great tune."

Bradley continued: "I’m really grateful for the opportunity to be involved with other amazing artists, and of course J-Rock.

"It was really exciting meeting him for the first time because he was a big inspiration to me and I really enjoyed the group's music.

"He’s a really nice, friendly, down to earth guy. He was great in the studio, he didn’t make us feel under pressure, he put us all at ease.

"It’s always great to record, but doing it with people who accept me for who I am made it even better."

In addition to raising funds for the charity, Bradley's proud mum, Sarah Welch said she hoped it would help create further opportunities for people on the spectrum.

She added: "I am so proud of Bradley and all of the other performers. This is such a fabulous thing to be able to do."

The single is now available to buy on iTunes for 99p.
