POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a car.
The incident happened on Commonside, Pensnett, travelling towards the junction with Bryce Road at 10.30pm on Tuesday 3 April.
The 61-year-old man was knocked off his bike by a car travelling in the same direction; he fell and suffered serious injuries.
Sgt Andrew Webber from Wednesbury traffic team, said: "This is a serious incident and our thoughts are with the cyclist who we hope makes a full recovery.
"We are investigating to find out exactly what happened and are keen to find out who was in the car that drove away from the scene. Anyone with any information is urged to call 101 giving the reference number 2497 of 3 April.”
