A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a car overturned following a crash near Sedgley.
The two car smash happened in Wodehouse Lane, Gospel End, at 1.50am on Monday (June 11).
The man believed to be the driver of the red Vauxhall Corsa, which flipped on its roof, fled the scene, leaving his female passenger.
The woman, who is in her 20s, was taken to Russells Hall Hospital with chest and back pain.
A Staffordshire Police spokesman said that despite a "thorough search" of the surrounding area, he evaded capture.
Paramedics assessed three other patients from the other car - a grey BMW 316 - at the scene but they were not taken to hospital.
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 60 of June 11.
