A BRIERLEY Hill man was jailed for 16 weeks for assault causing actual bodily harm.

Paul Askins, aged 27, of Plant Court, Derry Street, Brierley Hill, was also jailed for 12 weeks, to run concurrently, for assaulting a police officer during the execution of his duty.

Also on Friday February 29: David Lee Smallwood, aged 19, of Byron Stret, Brierley Hill, had the supervision element of his order extended by six months and was ordered to pay £35 costs for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

Tracey Jane Gwilliams, aged 40, of Gorsty Avenue, Brierley Hill, was ordered to pay £150 compensation and £100 court costs for being the owner of a dog dangerously out of control in a public place and whilst out of control injured two people.

Jayne Elizabeth Fox, aged 37, of Westbury Avenue, Brierley Hill, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 court costs for stealing various items worth £155.80.

Karen Louise Hathway, aged 33, of Leabank Road, Netherton, was ordered to pay £87 court costs, fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for assault.

Laura Jane Jakeman, aged 22, of Lower Derry Street, Brierley Hill, was handed six licence points, fined £100, ordered to pay £87 court costs and £15 compensation for driving a vehicle without due care and attention.

Zikky Mary Marsh, aged 26, of Cherry Green, Old Park Farm Estate, Dudley, was banned from driving for 24 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay £87 court costs and £15 compensation for drink driving.

Mahmood Hussain Tahsin, aged 18, of Himley Road, Lower Gornal, was handed a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £87 court costs for having given a sample which revealed that a class A' drug cocaine may be present in his body, failed to attend an initial assessment session to determine if he was dependant on drugs.

On Monday February 25: Paul Kevin Burton, aged 28, of New Road, Netherton, was handed a daily curfew for three months and ordered to pay £35 costs for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order.

Lucy Pitt, aged 24, of Fenton Street, Brierley Hill, was banned from driving for 30 months and handed an 18-month community order for drink driving.

The defendant was also handed an 18-month community order, to run concurrently and ordered to pay £43 court costs for driving without due care and attention.

George James Parkes, aged 51, of Primrose Crescent, Priory, Dudley, was handed a 12-month community order, ordered to carry out 80 hours unpaid work in the community and pay £200 court costs for possession of cannabis with intent to supply.

The defendant was also handed a 12-month community order, to run concurrently, for being the occupier of a property and knowingly permitted or suffered to take place on the premises the smoking of cannabis.

Azher Abbas Khan, aged 26, of St John's Street, Dudley, was ordered to pay £250 costs, fined £70 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for making a false statement in giving information.

On Tuesday February 26: Daniela Jayne Brookes, aged 34, of North Street, Dudley, was jailed for 16 weeks for stealing bacon, pork and lager worth £29.90.

Tremaine Williams, aged 36, of Merryfield Road, Dudley, was jailed for 16 weeks, suspended for 24 months, and ordered to pay £50 compensation and £50 court costs for assaulting a police officer during the execution of their duty.

The defendant was also fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, distress or alarm.

On Wednesday February 27: Griford Farah, aged 26, of Heath Green, Dudley, was handed six licence points and fined for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £125 and ordered to pay £43 court costs and £15 compensation for driving without a licence.

Ashley John Green, aged 19, of Elm Green, Dudley, was handed eight licence points and fined £70 for failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

The defendant was fined £70 and £70 court costs for driving without due care and attention.

The defendant was also fined £70 for driving without a licence and fined £70 for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £70 and £15 compensation for driving a vehicle involved in an accident and failed to give their name and address to a person requiring it and then failed to report an accident as soon as possible.

Adam Thomas Hackett, aged 20, of Norton Crescent, Netherton, was handed six licence points, fined £70 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for aiding and abetting Ashley Green to use a motor vehicle where there was no policy of insurance.

The defendant was also fined £100 for knowingly making a false statement for the purpose of obtaining the grant of a certificate of insurance.

The defendant was also fined £70 and ordered to pay £70 court costs for driving without a licence.

Adam Liam Heath, aged 26, of Brooke Street, Dudley, was fined £100, ordered to pay £70 court costs and £15 compensation for using threatening, abusive and insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause that other person to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be caused to them.

Andrew Dabbs, aged 33, of Wolverhampton Street, Dudley, was banned from driving for six months and handed an 18-month community order for driving whilst disqualified.

On Thursday February 28: Christopher William Anthony Lichfield, aged 33, of Bluebell Road, Dudley, was handed six licence points, fined £170 and ordered to pay £15 compensation for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £85 and ordered to pay £60 court costs for driving without a licence.

Grant Wainwright, aged 25, of Grosvenor Road, Lower Gornal, was handed three licence points, fined £45 and £15 compensation for speeding.

Jamie Keith Bennett, aged 21, of Woodstock Close, Holly Hall, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £150 compensation and £87 court costs for causing £150 worth of damage to a nearside car window.
