Woman jailed for stealing washing powder

A 23-YEAR-OLD Kates Hill woman has been jailed for 16 weeks for stealing 12 boxes of washing powder.

Chloe Bird, of Wolverton Road, was jailed by Dudley Magistrates Court on November 8 after stealing £83.97 worth of washing powder.

The defendant was also jailed for 16 weeks concurrent for stealing a mobile telephone from N Power Ltd.

She was also jailed for four weeks consecutive to the above for failing to surrender to bail.

Also at Dudley Magistrates Court on November 8: Daniella Jayne Brookes, aged 35, of Wolverton Road, Kates Hill, was jailed for 16 weeks for assault.

The defendant was also jailed for 16 weeks concurrent with the above for stealing four cans of lager and two packers of chocolate sweets worth £7 from Tesco Express.

She was also jailed for four weeks consecutive to the above for stealing 12 boxes of washing powder worth £83.97 from Spar.

The defendant was also jailed for four weeks consecutive to the above for failing to surrender to bail.

She was also jailed for 16 weeks for stealing washing powder worth £60 from Tate Spar Ltd.

In Court on November 3: Jamie Alex Bowater, aged 25, of Bluebell Road, Dudley, was fined £200, ordered to pay £50 compensation, £15 costs and £70 court costs for damaging a car wing mirror.

Benjamin Archer, aged 20, of Kilbern Place, Netherton, was disqualified from driving for two months, fined £130 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £60 court costs for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £60 for speeding.

In court on November 4: Gary Lee Reader, aged 26, of Sherwin Avenue, Dudley, was disqualified from driving for six months and handed six licence penalty points as well as being fined £525 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £60 court costs for failing to provide the identity of a driver.

In court on November 5: Martyn Gwynne, aged 19, of Fens Crescent, Brierley Hill, was handed a community order and ordered to pay £60 court costs for handling stolen goods.

Sarfaraz Hussain, aged 22, of Himley Road, Dudley, was disqualified from driving for 12 months, fined £350 and ordered to pay £60 court costs and £15 costs for driving without insurance.

The defendant was also fined £175 for driving without a valid test certificate.

Darren John Jeavons, aged 31, of Cross Lane, Sedgley, was disqualified from driving for 36 months, fined £250 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £100 court costs for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

In court on November 6: Kelly Louise Haffner, aged 29, of Merryfield Road, Dudley, was jailed for 20 weeks, suspended and supervised for two years and ordered to pay £5,000 compensation for stealing £5,000 from TK Enterprises.

Craig Adam Poole, aged 23, of Lodge Crescent, Netherton, was jailed for ten months suspended for 24 months and ordered to be supervised for 12 months for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

The defendant was also fined £50 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £150 court costs for failing to surrender to bail.

James Lee Snead, aged 21, of Lodge Crescent, Netherton, was jailed for ten months suspended for 24 months and ordered to be supervised for 12 months as well as being ordered to pay £150 court costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

In court on November 7: Andrew Michael Smith, aged 34, of Mill Street, Brierley Hill, was jailed for 16 weeks for stealing £79.96 worth of PS3 computer games from Toys R Us.

The defendant was also jailed for 16 weeks for stealing £99.95 worth of Nintendo WII computer games from HMV.

Darren Hickman, aged 26, of Wellington Road, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70 compensation for stealing a digital box from Cash Generator.

The defendant was handed a 12 months conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 compensation for stealing a DVD player from B&M.

Luke Loxolo, aged 19, of Dibdale Street, Dudley, was handed a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £70 court costs for possessing cannabis.

Andrian Pavlyshyn, aged 28, of Blewitt Street, Dudley, was disqualified from driving for 20 months, fined £115 and ordered to pay £15 costs and £70 court costs for driving while over the legal alcohol limit.

The defendant was also fined £115 for driving without insurance.

Neil Cole, aged 22, of Devon Crescent, was fined £60 and ordered to pay £15 and £60 court costs for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

In court on November 10: Michael John Fletcher, aged 28, of Wallows Road, Brierley Hill, was jailed for ten weeks for stealing four legs of lamb, and one bottle of whisky worth £48.12 from Aldi.

Laurence Richard Turley, aged 57 of Harley Grange, Dixons Green, was handed a three-year Anti-Social Behaviour Order for using disorderly behaviour.

Paul Green, aged 44, of Northfield Road, Netherton, was handed a 12 month supervised community order and ordered to pay £70 court costs for driving while disqualified.

Dean Westwood, aged 23, of Bryce Road, Brierley Hill, was disqualified from driving for 23 months, as well as being handed a 12 month supervised community order and ordered to pay £70 court costs for driving above the legal alcohol limit.
