Man dies in Belbroughton crash

A MAN in his 60s has died in a road smash in Belbroughton.

The incident happened on the A491 Stourbridge Road shortly before 5.30pm yesterday (Saturday July 4).

West Mercia Police say the man, who died at the scene, was a pedal cyclist who had collided with a blue a Nissan Micra.

Pc Tom Symonds, from the North Worcestershire Road Policing Unit, said witnesses to the crash are now being urged to come forward.

He added: “A full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has been launched and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch. It’s vital that we establish exactly what happened.

“We would urge anyone who saw what happened to call the Road Policing Unit on 0300 33 33 000 ext 316.”
