A WORLD record-holding strongman stopped off to teach youngsters at two Netherton schools the message of respect.
Dave Gauder visited Netherton CE Primary and Northfield Road, where he also impressed the children with his display of strength by pulling a double-decker bus in the school playground.
The strongman, known as “Big Dave”, tours the country giving anti-bullying talks and spoke to the youngsters about respecting each other.
The event was organised by Pat Randle, a volunteer at St Andrews Community Hub, after gaining funds through a Grass Roots grant.
Pat said: “Everyone absolutely loved it. Dave had them singing songs and he taught them the sign for respect. It went down very well with both the pupils and teachers.”
Big Dave will also be spreading his messages at Hillcrest School on Thursday, when he will be once again giving his presentation and pulling the bus.
