A 40-YEAR-old Dudley grandmother who sent drug dealing money to the West Indies has been jailed for eight months.
Tracy Burke, of Westley Street, transferred a total of £8,200 to named parties in Antigua and Jamaica Wolverhampton Crown Court was told.
Burke, at the time of the offences, was on licence having been jailed for 18 months in 2007 for trying to smuggle cannabis through Manchester Airport.
She admitted money laundering and was told by Judge John Warner her previous conviction was an aggravating feature of the case.
He told Burke: "Money laundering is important to people who illegally deal in drugs."
Simon Rippon defending said Burke was working hard to turn her life around.
He said Burke was now involved with two churches in the Dudley area, she spent time with her grandchildren and was also seeking to have a book of poetry published.
Walter Bealby prosecuting said police officers raided a house in Dudley having held a man in custody.
He said Burke was responsible for three of the money transfers and had been rewarded for her assistance.
