ONE man has been taken to hospital after a fire at a bungalow in Sedgley this morning.
Emergency service crews were called to the house in Claremont Road at 1.41am.
Three fire crews from Dudley, Wolverhampton and Tipton attended the incident as well as one hydraulic platform.
Two ambulances and an incident support officer were also sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “When crews arrived they found a bungalow that had suffered extensive fire damage to the inside of the property and the roof. The damage had also spread to a neighbouring property.
“A man was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by ambulance crews before he was taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
“A 50-year-old woman was also assessed at the scene but chose not to go to hospital.”
