STAFF at a Dudley Cancer Support charity are set to say farewell to its manager on Friday after 17 years with the charity.
Beverley Hart, of Kingswinford, started as an administrator with the organisation which was based at Tixall House, St James's Road, Dudley before moving to The White House, in Ednam Road, in 1995.
She said: “The years have gone so quickly and brought so many changes, but rarely in life is one given the opportunity to work with so many genuinely caring and supportive people, both here at Cancer Support and in the broader community.”
Chairman, Marion Griffiths, said: “Beverley will be sorely missed by all the staff, volunteers, patients ad trustees of The White House and also by the statutory sector and voluntary groups who I know will be very sad to see her leave.
“I have known her for the full 17 years she has been with Cancer Support and shall miss her very much.
“She cares for everyone she comes into contact with and will be much missed at The White House andweall wish her the very best for the future.”
Beverley, aged 47, who is married with a son, is relocating to Cheshire.
Chris Barron, will be taking over the role of manager at The White House.
Chris, aged 34, previously worked at Compton Hospice Promotions for four years as an assistant manager.
