A 36-YEAR-old Brierley Hill man who punched a woman friend in the face knocking out one of her teeth has been further remanded in custody for reports.
Judge John Wait told Adam Smith, of Pheasant Street, he had to consider whether or not he posed the a risk of causing further harm in the future.
He said it was vital more information was in the hands of Wolverhampton Crown Court before the case against Smith could be finalised.
The Judge said Smith already had a number of specified offences on his record adding: "It is essential steps are taken to address his problems."
Smith had admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and was remanded until January 8 for the preparation of further medical reports.
The Judge ruled the prosecution should also take steps in the interim about making Smith the subject of a restraining order to keep away from the victim in the case.
