DUDLEY youngsters can get fitter and healthier in a free, fun packed programme .
With one in three 11 year-olds in Dudley above a healthy weight, NHS Dudley is launching the MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition…Do it!) programme aimed at helping families become fitter and happier.
The 10-week after school sessions will start in September and run twice a week at Dudley Leisure Centre from 5pm until 7pm.
Families and children, aged between 7 and 13, will learn about nutrition and how to maintain a healthy balanced diet.
Participants will also take part in fun games and activities on land and in the water.
Places for the course, which begins on September 8, are offered on a first come, first served basis.
