THE first dementia cafe in the borough has been opened by the Mayor of Dudley.
The free monthly cafe will take place at Lunch on the Run in the Pensnett Trading Estate, on the second Tuesday of each month between 2pm and 4pm.
The facility has been opened by Accord Housing Association, in partnership with Dudley Council’s adult care services.
The cafe will provide those affected by dementia with a place to go for informal support and advice. A trained co-ordinator will be available to answer questions and signpost people to other services. There will also be guest speakers and activities.
