Cancer charity boosted by £500 donation

DUDLEY’S White House Cancer Support has been boosted with a £500 donation.

The money, which has been raised through a bring and buy sale and raffles held throughout the last 12 months has been raised by The Gynae Cancer Group.

The money will be used to help refurbish the complementary therapy rooms at The White House in Ednam Road.

Adrian Warwick, Clinical Director and Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Russells Hall Hospital, presented the cheque to manager Chris Barron.

Following the presentation, Mr Warwick spoke to the group about ovarian and cervical screening and the diagnosis of endometrial cancer. The Gynae Cancer Group meets monthly at Cancer Support base and is regularly visited by a specialist nurse from Russells Hall Hospital, who provides support and information the ladies.
