A SHOPKEEPER was assaulted and robbed during a terrifying incident in Dudley.
The robbery took place at the Mini Market in Priory Road, around 9.45pm on Thursday, April 26.
Two male offenders entered the shop and demanded a quantity of cash, before reportedly hitting the shopkeeper on the head with a hammer.
The offenders made off in a car, thought to be a red Volvo, with the money.
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent a rapid response medic and an ambulance to the scene where the male victim, aged in his 50s was treated, before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police have issued a description of one of the offenders, who was around six foot with a black tracksuit top, which had blue stripes down the arms.
He was wearing a red item, thought to be a t-shirt, underneath the top and had dark trousers with white stripe down the side.
