In preparation for the sunny weather, nurses from Russells Hall Hospital will be holding a free sun awareness summer fete next weekend.

The Skin Oncology nurses will be at The White House in Ednam Road, between 10am and 4pm on Saturday May 12, as part of National Sun awareness week.

As well as providing information on detecting skin cancer and prevention advice, visitors can also enjoy tombolas, raffles, book and cake sales and a sunflower sale.

And for the young at heart, entertainment will include Vikings, medieval surgeons, belly dancers and the Dudley Zoo education team.

All proceeds will be shared between the Dudley Skin Cancer Trust Fund and The White House in its continuing work in supporting cancer patients and their families.

For more information contact The White House on 01384 231232.
