Police donate funds for Dudley carnival

DUDLEY police have handed over £866 to the organisers of a Dudley community carnival.

The money, made available through the Police Property Act, has been presented to the friends and residents of Buffery Park to put towards their event on Saturday, June 23.

The summer carnival will include a host of fun events, including stalls, games and live entertainment and will run from 11am until 5pm.

PCSO Steph Beasley, from the St Thomas’s neighbourhood policing team, said:"So many local community clubs and residents have got behind this carnival and they will be able to showcase what they do and highlight the diversity of our community.

"Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and it will be a lovely family day out".
