DUDLEY North MP Ian Austin has officially launched a Healthy Living Pharmacy at the town’s Tesco Extra supermarket.

The in-store pharmacy has taken on the new role in a bid to promote good health by offering a range of free services on everyday health issues such as stopping smoking, alcohol advice and medicine reviews.

All the staff have undergone a rigorous training programme and the pharmacy will have an expert to hand who can deal with minor ailments as well as signposting patients to other services.

Michelle Dyoss, Community Pharmacy Development Officer said: “All pharmacies provide valuable health services but Healthy Living Pharmacies provide a much broader range of support services, expert advice and help in local communities where it is accessible to everyone”.
