Outdoor sessions at borough nature reserves

BOROUGH residents can enjoy the outdoors in a number of sessions being run at Dudley Council’s nature reserves later this month.
On Sunday (July 15), the Friends of Cotwall End Valley will be holding a fundraising charity two-mile walk from 10am until noon.
Walkers, who will be asked to make a small donation to take part, should meet on Brockswood Animal Sanctuary car park at the junction of Cotwall End Road and Catholic Lane.

Meanwhile on Wednesday July 18, an open day with Wren’s Nest National Nature Reserve wardens will take place from 9.30am until 4pm.
During the event people can find out why the historical site is so special, before taking in practical tasks during the afternoon.
The day is only suitable for adults.
Then on Tuesday, July 24, wardens will be hosting a hunt the Dudley bug session from 10am to 12.30pm. All children need to be accompanied. Booking for both Wren’s Nest National Nature Reserve events is essential on 01384 812785. Participants should meet on Wren’s Nest car park, Wren’s Hill Road, Dudley.
Anyone interested in taking part in any of the three events are advised The walk will take in a two mile route, including slopes and steps.
