Brierley Hill blaze destroys bedroom

FIRE crews were called to a fire in a Brierley Hill bedroom this morning (Saturday).
The alarm was raised about the fire in a two storey property in Springfield Road, Silver End, at 10.58am.
Three fire engines rushed to the scene and put out the fire in just over an hour.
A spokesman for the West Midlands Fire Service said: "100 per cent of the bedroom was effected by fire and 20 per cent of the first floor."
Fire crews also checked out the loft of the neighbouring house to ensure the property was safe.
