Special delivery for Dudley nursery

CHILDREN at a Dudley nursery received a very special delivery in the post when they were sent a letter from The Queen.

The letter from Buckingham Palace was sent to the youngsters at Treetops Nursery in Milking Bank thanking them for the paintings of The Queen which they had sent to mark Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee earlier this year.

The letter, as well as an accompanying leaflet about the Jubilee which was also included in the envelope, has now been put up in pride of place in the nursery’s reception area.

Damien Bearman, a parent at the Manderston Close nursery, said: “It is commendable that Her Majesty has appreciated the hard work and effort that went into making various portraits of the queen by the staff and children at Treetops Nursery.”
