Dudley animal lovers invited to face the heat
9:00am Sunday 7th October 2012 in Local
ADVENTUROUS Dudley animal lovers are being invited to face the heat to raise funds for a new PDSA PetAid hospital.
Volunteers are being sought to take part in a fire walk on Saturday at the Village Hotel to help raise cash towards the PDSA’s £2 million Hospital Appeal, to replace the charity’s current cramped site in Quinton.
Sarah Johnson, PDSA’s Community and Events Fundraiser, said: “Our fire walk promises to be a scorcher of an evening. We’re looking for daring people to take on this unusual challenge for a very worthy cause. So if you have a burning desire to walk on hot coals in aid of poorly pets, this is the fundraising event for you”.
The fire walk will begin at 6pm. There is a £10 registration fee and all participants, who must be at least 16 years-old, are asked to raise at least £100 in sponsorship.
To book a place visit pdsa.org.uk/fundraising or call freephone 0800 508 8323.
Full training and a motivational talk will be provided on the night to make sure participants don’t get cold feet.
