A LONG established Brierley Hill jewellery store is set to close after 130 years on the High Street.
TH Baker is set to shut its doors in the coming weeks and is currently operating as a clearance outlet, with some items discounted by 90 per cent.
The closure has been blamed on a decline in trade.
Paul Griffiths, marketing and creative manager for TH Baker said: "The reason for the store's closure is due to long term declining trade on the High Street; to a point that after trading on the High Street for 130 years – keeping the store open is no longer feasible for the business."
The Brierley Hill store was the first opened by TH Baker's namesake and founder Thomas Henry Baker in 1888 and has been in the family ever since.
The jewellery retailer's other Midlands stores in Merry Hill, Stourbridge, Kidderminster and Birmingham's Grand Central, will remain open.
