Community Players to bring comedy cop to life

12:00pm Monday 27th February 2012

THE Community Players from Hawbush are getting set to raise the roof with their production of a comedy classic featuring legendary theatrical cop Inspector Pratt.

Renowned for their side-splitting outings, the popular performers are staging the second of Peter Gordon’s Inspector Pratt comedy thrillers - Secondary Cause of Death.

The show will run at The Oakfield Centre (formerly Hawbush Community Centre), Brettell Lane, Hawbush, Brierley Hill, from Wednesday March 7 to Saturday March 10, with performances starting at 7.30pm each night.

Set in 1939, the play produced by Thelmas Harper sees seasoned comedy star Greg Wilde starring as blundering Inspector Pratt who is sent to investigate a series of mysterious deaths at Bagshot House. However, the inept inspector’s unconventional methods lead to even more chaos and confusion as the body count rises alarmingly.

Tickets, priced £6 (£5 concessions), are available from 01384 394349.
