THE Mayor of Dudley took a tour of world cuisine last night (Wednesday) as she officially opened a new Brierley Hill restaurant.
The Last Emperor World Buffet in Level Street, which has employed more than 20 local people, opened its doors for the first time and invited the borough’s first citizen to sample some of the food on offer.
Owner Abdul Sikdar also donated £150 to Councillor Margaret Aston's chosen charities - Guide Dogs and Action Heart Dudley - as part of the opening night celebrations.
Cllr Aston said: “I am always delighted to go along to the opening of new businesses and we wish The Last Emperor restaurant well in the future. I am very grateful for the donation towards the charities which is very much appreciated.”
Mr Sikdar, added: “We are really excited about the new venture and hope we can employ even more people in the future. I am grateful to the mayor for finding time to come and show her support on the opening night.”
