A BRIERLEY Hill man died from injuries he sustained in a motorbike accident while on holiday in Goa, an inquest was told.

Paul Grazier was found dead in the room he was staying in on Wednesday February 12.

The 44-year-old carpenter, of Larksfield Mews, had left the UK on January 7 and travelled elsewhere before arriving at the guest house in Anjuna on February 3.

The inquest, at Smethwick Coroners Court today (Tuesday) heard that Mr Grazier had been hospitalised following the motorbike accident and had injured his pelvis and toe.

He was discharged the day before his death and was last seen that evening, by friends he was socialising with.

When a friend knocked his door the next day and got no response, they called the police.

Firefighters from nearby Mapusa, were called to break down the door and it was then that Mr Grazier's body was found.

Zafar Siddique, senior coroner for the Black Country concluded that the father-of-one died as a result of injuries sustained in a road traffic collision but said the cause of death was unascertained.
